New Year's Day is coming. I believe that most of you have your own New Year's resolutions But what kind of resolution should you 1 good for your health. Work in the future will be different, too. Dangerous and hard work can be done by robots. People will work fewer hours than they do now. And they will have more free time for sports, watching TV and traveling.

Some people will live on space stations. It is another change in the future. scientists will find planet for people to live on. So rockets(火箭) will be the most important transportation. But many scientists disagree, they think humans will make the earth more beautiful and people will live a happy life. Who do you agree with?

In Canada and the US, people enjoy entertaining(招待) guests at home. They often invite friends to a meal, a party, or just for coffee and conversations. 

Here are things people say when they invite someone to their homes. 

"Would you like to come over for dinner this Saturday night?"

"Hey, we're having a party on Friday. Can you come?"

To reply to an invitation, you can either say"thank you"and accept, or say"I'm sorry"and give an excuse, such as"Thanks, l'd love to. What time would you like me to come?"or"Oh, sorry, I've booked tickets for a movie. ".

Sometimes, howerer, people use expressions that sound like invitations but which are not real invitaitons, for example, "Please come over for a drink sometime. "and"Why don't you come over and see us sometime soon?"

They are really just polite ways of ending a conversation. They are not real invitations because they don't mention a specified(明确的) time or date. They just show that the person is trying to be friendly. To reply to expressions like these, people just say"Sure, that would be great!"or"OK/Yes, thanks. ".

So next time when you hear what sounds like an invation, listen carefully. Is it a real invitation or just the way to be friendly?

When Shanghai introduced(推行) a new garbage-sorting policy(垃圾分类政策) in July, 2019, people in the city spent some time learning about it. They said that every time they took out their garbage, the workers standing by the bin(垃圾箱) would ask, "What kind of garbage are you?"On May 1, 2020, Beijing also introduced a garbage-sorting policy. People should sort their garbage into four groups: kitchen, recyelable(循环的), harmful(有害的) and other waste. These groups are represented(代表) by four different colors of trash bins—green, blue, red and

Some cities like Shanghai and Qingdao sort their trash differently. These cities use four different groups: wet waste、recyclable waste, harmful waste and dry waste. Although their names are different, the groups are actually the same. In fact, wet garbage in Shanghai is kitchen garbage in Beijing. And dry garbage is the same as other waste. 

To help people sort their trash correctly, the Beijing government gave online guidelines(指导方针). if people don't know how to sort garbage, they can look for it on the WeChat account(微信用户). By typing(敲打) a key word or taking a photo, people can find out which group their waste should be in at once.
