A simple honk（喇叭声）from the bus is one part of a secret code（秘密代码）between the driver and 1  living in a far-away village in Wanzhou district, Chongqing. 

Seeing a 2  hanging from the doorknob of an old house along the road, the bus driver drives towards the roadside and makes a honk to answer the "code". Then a boy runs outside, takes the schoolbag, and gets on the bus 3 . 

The boy's parents work far from home, leaving him with his grandmother. He comes home every Friday and goes back to school in the city every Sunday. To make the journey 4 , he and the driver, Cheng Lin, have made a special "code". 5  the boy's schoolbag is hanging outside the house, it "tells" Mr Cheng, "Today, it's time to go back to school. I need to 6  the bus. "

Recently, four Chinese villages have been added to the "Best Tourism （旅游业）Village" list for 2023. China now has eight villages on the list. What's so special about these four villages?

Huangling village is in the northeast of Wuyuan county of Jiangxi province. The Hui-style houses are everywhere in the village. During the autumn, the villagers always dry their crops. "Dry Crops in Autumn" becomes a special symbol of local （当地的）culture, and it really shows a comfortable lifestyle. 

Founded 800 years ago, Xiajiang village is in the mountains of southwest, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Through hard work, the village is giving new life into its traditional cultures, such as local songs and the art of tea-making. 

Zhagana village is at a height of 3,000 to 3, 300 meters. And the name comes from the stone cliffs （悬崖）around the village. Zhagana means ''stone box" in the Zang language. Farming and wood-chopping （伐木）are the popular activities in the village. 

Zhujiawan village is in the heart of the Qinling Mountains. It's known as a natural oxygen bar （天然氧吧）. Its home to many special and important animals and plants, such as takins （羚牛）and fir trees. 

Tao Tao is a 17-year-old boy. He was born with cerebral palsy（脑瘫）. However, he never gave up hope and has tried his best to feed himself. He sells self-made popcorn on the street on his own. And this touches the hearts of many people and wins him a chance （机会）to get education. 

Yao Chuanhua, Tao Tao's mother, taught her son to live on himself at the very beginning. She taught Tao Tao how to make popcorn at home and helped set up a shop in Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou city of East China's Zhejiang province. At first, Tao Tao didn't know how to sell and few people bought his popcorn. To make him feel confident （自信的）,the mother even paid some passersby （路人）to buy popcorn from her son's shop. Finally, the shy boy became active and confident. Now he runs the shop on his own very well. 

Yao is proud （自豪的）of Tao Tao, so she shared videos of her son's popcorn selling story online. People were touched by the story and some travelled from far away to buy popcorn from Tao Tao. Many people wanted to give money to Tao Tao, but Yao refused. hope that one day my son could live on his own," Yao says. 

The online videos also drew the attention of local special schools. After learning about the boy's situation, they decided to send some local special education teachers to offer him door-to-door teaching. On November 19th, Tao Tao took the classes for the first time at home. The classes will continue regularly in the future although he has no classmates to study with.

Birthday Party

An amazing store

Imagine you're climbing a mountain, and on the way you start to get （饥饿）or thirsly. At that moment, how （精彩的）would it be if there's a convenience store （便利店）nearby? For rock climbers in Pingjiang, Hunan province, there is （已经）such a store built on the side of a cliff. 

The Shiniuzhai scenic area is （著名的）for its high cliffs. Visitors coming to experience the rock climbing （节目）are usually hobbyists （业余爱好者）. It is

（正常）for climbers to spend about 90 minutes making it to the top. So the park keeper decided to build the store to help solve the problem!

The small wooden store is  （几乎）120 meters above the ground. It was built in 2017 and opened a year later. The store opens at 8 a. m. and closes at 5 p. m. It can only hold one person  （在. . . . . . . 里面）at a time. And each climber can get a bottle of water fbr free. The drinks and food are carried up by workers every day. And the prices are （相似的）to those at ordinary stores.
