Different New Year in different countries
On New Year's Every people in Italy throw out (扔掉) old things. There are chairs, beds, Clothes and plates on the streets. In Spain, New Year comes more quietly. In the evening, people come out to the streets, Each holds a bag of grapes. When it is twelve o'clock, people start to eat the grapes. In Japan, people eat noodles on New Year's Eve. Eating noodles is to bring long life. Early the next morning some families climb Mt. Fuji. There they see the first sunrise of New Year.
In China, Chinese New Year is called the Spring Festival. It is the most important traditional (传统的) festival.. The dates for this annual (年度的) celebration (庆祝) are determined (决定) by the lunar calendar rather than (而不是) the Gregorian calendar (阳历) People set off fire crackers (爆竹)to celebrate it. on Chinese New year's Eve, People have a big dinner. All of the family members get together. They eat dumplings.
