De-stress your mind and relax
Being a student can be overwhelming (不堪重负的).. If you're feeling stressed out, try some of these "brain break" ideas.
Take a break
The first thing to do when you feel overwhelmed is to take a deep breath. Try meditation (冥想) practices, which have been found to ease anxiety and mental stress by making you focus on your breathing. Practice gratitude and stay in the present. Play some calming music and take yourself away from your work for a little while.
Exercise
. Whether it's a quick walk across campus or around the block, a sweaty gym session or
doing an online workout in your living room, exercise will increase your energy, sharpen your focus, enhance your mood, improve your memory and help with impulse (冲动) control. In fact, exercise produces chemicals that are good for your brain. In other words, when you take care of your body, you take care of your brain.
If you're feeling overworked, try using a different part of your brain to arouse some creativity. Bake a new recipe, create an artwork, or do a puzzle. . Thus, your brain can get more active in new and different ways. This will help you get back to your work with a clearer mind.
Even if it seems like there is no time to do anything but your homework, try to schedule one brain break per day to help keep yourself sharp, motivated and happy while you complete your degree.
