Four Habits to Help You Succeed

We all want to succeed, whether it is in losing weight or learning the guitar. For those who have tried and failed, success seems difficult to understand.

•Know your values.

Finding your values is in line with creating motivation.  Pick a handful of things and write them down. Remind yourself of your values every day and reflect on whether you are honoring those values through your work.

•Pick a goal and focus on it.

Choose one goal to start something large enough that will give you a sense of achievement, while adjusting well to your values. Focus is key here.  If you perform many tasks at a time, you might never finish your projects because they will take far too long.

•Set a time for success.

Set a date for success. Know when you hope to realize your goal.  By setting a time limit, you are making the process realistic.

Failure can't be avoided when you take risks. By its very definition, the desire to succeed means you are risking failure. Many people tend to give up far too early. Don't fall into this trap! Remember your mindset earlier. Know it will happen. A failure is only you working out the details, and learning what works and what doesn't. Use failure. Treat it as a good thing, and go on.

A. The more focused you are on one goal, the higher chance you have of success.

B. Make the right decision.

C. I have made a list of four habits to help you set goals and realize them.

D. Don't give up because of failure.

E. Keep it realistic, while not giving you too much time.

F. Sit and reflect on what you value most.

G. Push yourself to be courageous, and take that next step.

Michael told Mrs Hunt that I wanted to 6 the Walkathon. Mrs Hunt looked at me. "It's not a good course for a wheelchair, "she said. "The hilly part would be too 7. "

"But I could push Peter over the hard bits, "said Michael.

"I'll 8 it," said Mrs Hunt.

That afternoon, Mrs Hunt called a class meeting. Michael told everyone about his 9.

"We could all take turns. That way no one would get too 10, "said Olivia. Then everyone said they would take a turn.

When the Walkathon began, I turned my wheels round and round as 11 as I could. When we came to the hilly bit, Michael 12 to push me up it. Olivia was waiting halfway up. "My 13 now," she said. With all the help my 14 were giving me, I 15 the first lap and did a second lap—and another. I was tired in the 16.

"It's time to announce the winner of the mystery prize. It goes to . . . Peter!" Mrs Hunt said.

I looked at all the things I had 17, and felt extremely 18. But then I remembered that the whole 19 had helped me.
