Nowadays, our phone is capable of just about anything through various apps. Here, we've rounded up some of the good apps for fitness (健康).

Wakeout

Because of COVID-19, many people's fitness has suffered due to long periods of sitting or lying. Wakeout's attractive feature is that it's a fitness app that doesn't ask you to roll out a yoga mat, or clear space. Instead, Wakeout will recommend exercises that can be done immediately, whether you're sitting or lying down. You can schedule workouts for the day, or relax before your bedtime.

Seven-7 Minute Workout

Seven-7 Minute Workout aims to give you the most benefit possible in just 7 minutes through a series of quick exercises that target specific areas of your body. There's no equipment need. It's free to use, but joining the 7 Club for $10 a month (or $60 a year) will give you access to a wider range of exercises, personal workout plans, and guidance from a personal trainer.

30 Day Fitness

30 Day Fitness provides hundreds of exercises with video instructions for each of the 30 days, plus a personal workout history, so you can see how far you've come. You get a week for free, but it'll cost you $5 a week for access after that.

Loona

Can't rest your mind and body at night? You're not alone, as many of us suffer from an inability to switch off at night. Instead of just playing lullabies (催眠曲) at bedtime, Loona wants to help balance your mood throughout the day, keeping anxiety down and helping you to be in a stable mood at bedtime.

The human brain remembers negative experiences more easily than positive ones. Our brains have developed in this way because threats, like dangerous animals, have a more immediate effect on people's survival compared to positive things like food or shelter. As a result, you clearly know what makes you unhappy, but do you know what makes you happy?

Research suggests that our level of happiness is partly shaped by the choices we make. If you've been chasing wealth, fame, power and some material things, you may be looking for happiness in the wrong places. Psychologists suggest that the following habits can make people happier.

People who own close relationships tend to be happier than those who do not. The number of our friends is not important. What matters is the quality of our relationships. Relationships that bring happiness usually consist of the sharing of feelings, acceptance, mutual (双方的) respect and trust.

People who exercise regularly can improve both their physical and mental well-being. Some research has shown that exercise can be as effective as some medicine in treating depression.

If we are so interested in an activity, we may lose track of time, and we can be in a state of flow. The activity could be playing the piano, surfing the Internet or playing a game… People who experience flow in their work or life tend to be happier.

People are more likely to be happy if they know what their strengths are and can use them regularly.

People are especially happy when they can set goals and use their strengths to achieve them.

People, who think positively by being grateful, mindful and optimistic, are more likely to be happy. Being grateful means being thankful. Being mindful means considering, focusing on, and enjoying the experiences of the present moment. Being optimistic means being hopeful about the future.

As France enters a strict four-week lockdown in order to prevent a dangerous second wave of corona virus, its independent booksellers have requested the status (地位) of an essential service.

A statement announced by booksellers' association wants bookshops to be listed together with supermarkets and drugstores as necessary to human well-being. Bookstores might not be the first thing that comes to mind when we think about what's needed in a dangerous situation, but they offer mental comfort that few other businesses can match. "Books satisfy our needs for understanding, reflection, sharing and communication, even in separation," says the statement. They appeal to the French government to "leave our bookstores open, so that social separation is not also cultural isolation(隔离)."

Bookstores have already established rules of conduct that allow shopping to occur in a safe, germ-free manner. They want curbside (路边) pickup to be allowed to continue, which means placing a customer's order to his car trunk without the buyer leaving his vehicle. The staff should wear a mask and stay at least six feet of distance while delivering goods.

We also reached out to the American Booksellers Association (ABA) to learn whether American booksellers also view themselves as a much-needed service. CEO Allison Hill admits that booksellers "in no way outweigh healthcare workers during the stay-at-home period," but the role of bookstores and books should not be underestimated. Books are important to many people this year for various reasons, including homeschooling, education, emotional support, connection, and humanity. That is why "bookstores in the U.S. are given essential status during shutdowns so that they can continue offering curbside service." Despite this, independent booksellers are struggling across the US, as they are in France. Hill said in a press release that one bookshop has closed per week since COVID-19 started and that 25% are in danger of closing by January.

Why did the association announce the statement?

Saying no to the right things will help you prioritize (优先处理) high-benefit activities,

avoiding excessive stress, and reducing the risk of failing to meet your responsibilities. So, it's better to get into the habit of considering what invitations to say yes to and what to say no to..

Start by asking yourself questions to measure the potential benefits: What is the   likelihood that it will create more beneficial opportunities in the future? How important is this activity to me personally? Or, will this bring me joy?

: How much of my time will it really take? How much time does my schedule have available around when this activity would take place? Will saying yes mean I can't say yes to something else that's important to me? Will saying yes steal time away from my personal life? Will this activity cost money? How much stress will the activity cause me? Finally, would I suffer bad effects if I said no?

When you're done, carefully examine the advantages and disadvantages. If your analysis suggests that the activity would result in many benefits and few costs, then that should be a top candidate for a yes response. , even if they are low-cost as well. In our experience, it's    the high-benefit, high-cost activities that require the most careful consideration., which isn't always easy—especially if your answer is no. Figuring out how to give an honest response can help avoid over commitment and time spent on low-benefit activities.

A. Could you give this presentation?

B. How much will I learn?

C. The next step is making a response

D. Then ask yourself questions to estimate the possible costs

E. On the contrary, low-benefit activities might be given a straight no

F. You can achieve it by making an informal cost-benefit analysis

G. We encourage you to do three things to improve your "no" abilities
