I quietly went and sat down by my daughter' s bed. 

" Honey, I am sorry," I said. " Are these the flowers you picked for me? " 

She said. " I found them by the tree. I picked them because they' re pretty like you. Iknew you' d like them, especially the blue ones. " 

I tearfully replied. " Sweetie, I' m really sorry for the way I acted today. I shouldn' t have shouted at you. " 

Anna Brown was an artist who believed that it was important to help others. When she heard of a summer camp for children with serious illnesses, she came up with an idea. It cost money for these kids to go to the camp, so Anna decided to see what she could do to help. It was impossible for her to donate(捐赠) a lot of money. so she had to think of another way. 

She wanted to take advantage of her love of art. So she started making and selling beautiful cards to raise money for these kids. Because these cards were all handmade, it would take her a long time to make a lot of them. So Ann a had another idea. She started inviting friends to her house to help her make the cards. At first her friends were hesitant. Many said that they were not artistic and didn' t know how to make cards. But once they saw the beautiful materials that she had in her workroom, her friends felt more comfortable doing things such as drawing and cutting in order to make a new card. 

But the materials were expensive. To make money without spending money, Ann a asked for and got donations of paper, glue, scissors, and other things from nearby stores. She sold her cards for three dollars each in different art markets during the year. Anna raised more than$30,000 in her 10 years making cards. 

On November 14. 2023. the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO)(国际民用航空组织) officially recognized China' s Bei Dou Satellite Navigation (卫星导航)System(BDS) as the world level. This makes it one of four global (全球的) satellite navigation systems, along with the United States'  GPS, Russia' s GLONASS and the European Union' s Galileo. 

China started to develop the BDS in 1994. The system came into use in 2000. After 12 years of work. it began serving the Asia-Pacific region. In 2020, with the global use of BDS-3. China has improved the system to provide users with more correct positioning services. making it a valuable tool for more industries(行业), including transportation, agriculture(农业) , and surveying (测量) . 

Now with 59 satellites in its network, the BDS has served more than 1. 5 billion users across the world. Most mobile apps providing maps navigation and shopping services inChina already support the BDS. China' s satellite navigation industry is growing fast. Its value reached more than 500 billion yuan in 2022. That number is expected to double by 2025. In the first half year of 2023, there were about 13. 4million new BDS devices (设备) . Nearly60% were used in transport systems. The rest were used in communication and agriculture. The former made up about 28% and the latter 12%. 

As BDS gets more popular, it is expected to play an increasingly important role in global navigation and positioning services. 

Life is like a journey. None of us can predict the destination(终点) of this journey. During this journey. we will enjoy beautiful scenery and meet bad weather. People have different experiences, but in this journey, we all have to face all kinds of situations. No matter what we experience, we should have a dream and hold it until the end of our journey.
