How do you spend your free time? Playing sports or seeing movies? Do you want to live a different after-school life? Here are three traditional Chinese students' free time activities.

How do you deal with the things you love? You probably take care of them and keep them safe. But that's not what Cameron does. This fifth grader from America is sharing his love of books by giving them away. 

In 2008, when Cameron heard about a family that lost everything in a house fire, he was looking for a way to help the family. He heard that they lost all of their future, so he came up with an idea to donate books to them. Later, he set up a program to give books away to people in need. Cameron collects books for young people of all ages and reading level (水平). He collects books for kids who are blind or with poor eyesight, too. Because he wants everyone to have books.

Cameron knows that books can help kids think about their future. They can help kids dream about what they might be when they grow up. Learning about new things through reading can give kids new interests.

Cameron wants to keep his program going and growing. Over the past seven years, he has given away more than 3000 books. He has also won many prizes for his work. His program has grown over the years, too. Last Christmas, Cameron was even able to give away toys and clothes.

Cameron is helping others by giving away the things he loves. How might you help people who are in need?

When you finish some chores at home, will your parents give you a reward (奖励)? It is common for parents to do that. .

One of them is Susie Walton, an education expert. She believes if kids get rewards, they will think that housework is not worth doing unless (除非) they get something in return (作为回报). Kids won't sweep the floor if they see it is dirty. . Walton also says, "A home is a living place for everyone in the family. It's important for kids to see that we all should play our part in keeping our home clean."

. They believe that rewards encourage kids to do more chores. Rewarding them also teaches them real world lessons. They can learn that they need to work to make money. Now, there are also mobile phone apps like Chore Monster. . After getting some points, they can do something they like. For example, parents will allow them to play video games for half an hour if they get 80 points.

So each side seems to have their own reasons. Whether you give children rewards depends on your own ideas.
