 Everything has a name, All people, places and things have names.

 When we meet a new person, we usually ask, "What's your name?" Most people have two names and names are different in different countries. In Jenny' s class, the students are from all over(遍及) the world. So it is not easy for her to know their names.

 In the US, many people have three names, a first name, a middle name, and a last name. Parents choose(选择) the first and middle names for their babies. There are names for boys and names for girls. For example, John, Peter, Tom and Mike are all names for boys. Jenny, Betty, Susan and Mary are all names for girls. The last name is the family name, like Green, Smith, Brown and Wood. Usually it is the father's family name. In a family, the mother, the father and the children usually have the same last name.

 Do you know farm animals? Let's get to know some of them together.

 People keep pigs on farms for meat. Pigs like to stay in mud(泥浆) because it helps them to keep cool. Pigs live in the mud but they are very clean animals. Pigs are smarter than most dogs. Mother pigs can sing to their babies.

 People keep sheep on farms for their meat and milk. Sheep are happy when they live together in a group. Sheep are very gentle(温和的) animals so people like to keep them.

 Cows give us the milk that we buy from the shops. People use milk to make ice cream and other kinds of food. Cows like to eat grass. Cows can drink a lot of water in one day.

 Horses are working animals that live and work on farms. ____△____ You can see people ride them in the shows or at the races.

 People keep chickens on farms for their eggs and meat. A female(母的) chicken is called a hen and a male(公的) chicken is called a rooster. Roosters can wake up the farmers every morning by saying" cock-a-doodle-doo".

①People need friends. People make friends at school or at work. People also make friends in their neighborhood.

②What do people do with their friends? People can spend time together with their friends. They talk with friends and share their ideas. This makes people know more about their friends. People make things with friends and learn from one another. They go to the movies with their friends too. What's more, people play games and cards with their friends. Friends are often helpful.

③There are some kinds of special friends in people's lives.

④Internet(互联网) friends are one of them. Do you like making friends on the Internet? It is popular today. That's because more and more people think it is an easy way to make friends. Another kind of special friends is penfriends. Making penfriends is a good way to know people in different places of the world.

⑤Friends are special and important people in our lives. We can live a happy life with friends.

 People want a happy family.  Here are some good ways for you.

Talk to family.

 Talking is the key to a happy family. It helps family to show what they are thinking. 

Spend time together.

 There are many ways to spend time with our family, like making dinner, watching TV, going for a walk or cleaning the house.

 Say" thank you" when family help you. And let them know that you thank them for what they do for you. Also you can buy some small gifts(礼物) for them. A cool hat or a good book may be a good choice. They can be very happy.

Say sorry.

A good breakfast for your family can show you are sorry too.

I'm writing to you because I want a pen friend. I can share my1 with you and get to know   yours! I live in a village on Sark. Sark is a very 2 island(岛). You can ride a horse and get around the island in just an hour. Only 562 people live on Sark. I'm3 here because my family and my friends are with me. I love school too. There's only one 4 on Sark. Here my classmates and teachers are all very nice. We don't often play sports like 5 or basketball because there aren't many people to make teams. Beaches here are always 6 as we never leave things here and there on the beaches. There is a library 7 there aren't any shopping centres on the island. We have to go by boat for an hour to other places to8 things! On Sark, there aren't any cars on the road. We ride our bikes everywhere. I love this small island and I want to make friends from other places too. I know New York is a big 9 . Do you like living there? Also, would you like to send some10 of it to me? In this way, I can know what your life looks like there. Please email me soon.

 Hey kids! Do you know that our daily (活动) can be a lot of fun? Let's  (数数)! In our family, we have fun together. We play games, tell stories, and sometimes /'i: vn/ dance. It's great to / 'nəʊtɪs/ how much we love each other. At school, we have many friends. We enjoy talking and (笑) with them. Our (谈话) are always full of fun and new (信息). We also have lots of hobbies. Some of us like drawing, while others enjoy singing. When we learn something new, we can grow every day. It's amazing to see the /'tʃeIndʒIz/ in ourselves and our friends. So, let's keep having fun, talking with our friends, and trying new /θIŋz/. It's what makes our lives so interesting and /'mɒdn/.

 Love is everywhere. In February, 2024, Wang Yang and his family in Guazhou, Gansu, did something ( well).

 On  evening of 17th February, many people got stranded (被困) in Guazhou because of the heavy snow. Wang and his family wanted ( help) those in need.
