· Practice beforehand. If you do so, you will feel more comfortable when you introduce yourself.

 Do you like English? How do you study English? Most students want to be good at English. And reading English newspapers is a good way to improve (提高) students' English. It helps students improve their reading, and students can also learn something new from newspapers. What is the correct way to read an English newspaper?

 The first step is to find a right newspaper with good language. Then turn to the front page and read the headlines(标题), because the front page usually tells important things. 

 Second, read newspapers every day. Remember words through the sentences. Don't look up every unknown word in your dictionary. You can try to guess the meaning according to the sentences. If your guess is wrong, don' t be sad. You will become familiar(熟悉的) with the words after reading them in different passages. 

 Reading English newspapers is very helpful. We can both improve our English and know about the world. 

Get Ready for Junior High

 New places, new faces, new things to do and new ways to do them. . . Are you ready to start your junior high?

 Before the first day of school, take a practice run(路线演习). How long will it take to go to school? After the run, you will know. You don't want to be late for your first class.

 You will have your new timetable on the first school day. You can have a copy for home. Every night, have a look at the timetable and prepare for the next school day.

 If you don't understand the lessons in one of your classes, tum to your teachers for help after the class. They will be happy if you try your best!

 You will have more classes, more homework, and more subjects. So you should make full use of your time. After you get home from school, do your homework first. And make it a habit(习惯). Remember that the new place will give you a new start. So don't worry!

 Hello! My name is Amy. I am 13 years old. I come from England, but now I live in Beijing with my parents and study in a 1 high school here. The school is big 2 very beautiful. There are 50 students in my class. Because of my blue eyes and brown hair, I look3 from them. But they are all very kind to me. Today is my 4 day at school. We will meet each teacher and have six classes altogether. I get to school 5 7:50 and enter(进入) the classroom quickly. It's on the second floor. Soon, an old woman comes into the classroom. She 6 very nice. "Good morning, I'm Mrs. Green. I'm your English teacher. I hope you will like my classes, "says Mrs. Green. I am very excited about learning English in China. After the English class, we have science,7 and music. Math is my 8 subject because I like thinking very much. I think it is important 9 us to think more in learning. Math can just help improve my ability(能力). In the afternoon, we have art and P. E. They are both interesting. This is my day at school. Do you remember10 ?

I'd like to say something about our science teacher, Mr. Wang. He always wears a (帽子) when he comes to class. He (介绍) us to the amazing world of (/baI'ɒlədʒI/) in a way that makes it fun to learn. When he first started teaching us, I felt a bit (紧张), but he quickly put me at ease with his kind smile and friendly words. 

 During class, Mr. Wang explains everything clearly. He often asks us to work in groups so that we can learn and talk about our ideas (/tə'geðə/). Sometimes we make(错误), but he never gets angry. Instead, he helps us understand and learn from them. 

 At the end of each lesson, Mr. Wang often asks us to share some (主意) about what we' ve learned. He says it's (/Im'pɔ: tnt/) to take notes down . What's more, (记住) the key information we' ve learned. Next week, we' re going to have a test on this subject, and I'm planning to review it (通过) the textbook with my classmates. 

 One day, Sam found  old, small box under his bed. He was cleaning his room when (he) hand touched something hard. Feeling curious (好奇的) , he picked it up and looked inside. The box (be) not empty with some dry (leaf) in it. 

 Sam asked his mom about it,  his mom said, "I don' t know where it came from. " Sam wanted to find out more, so he decided (keep) looking around the house.  the first day, he looked under the sofa, but he only found some toys. The next day, he looked in the kitchen, but he didn't find anything. 

 Finally, the (three) day came, Sam found a small box on a shelf. It was even (small) than the first box. He opened it, and (find) a shiny coin inside. Sam was very happy to find this little treasure (珍贵之物) .

Friends are like sunshine. They make us happy and never let us feel lonely. When we face difficulties, they are always there. Friends are like family. They support us no matter what happens. They trust us, understand us, and help us grow into better people. With friends like these, life becomes more colorful and meaningful. Let's cherish our friendships and be there for each other always.
