Louisa May Alcott was a great writer. Her most famous book was Little Women. She wrote this book about her growing up with her three sisters.
Louisa was born in Pennsylvania in 1832. She and her sister had a1father. He was a writer and a teacher. He taught Louisa and her sisters. Louisa's father believed that children had good ideas. He let children say and write2they thought. He felt that both boys and girls3go to school. Many people at this time did not feel this way. They felt that girls did not need to go to school.
Louisa loved to4her father. Some of his friends were her teachers, too. They were writers. They helped Louisa learn how to write. Louisa really liked writing. She loved to act out stories. She was glad that her father and his friends helped her learn. She wanted women to have the same5as men.
The Civil War started when Louisa was a young woman. This war would decide if slavery(奴隶制度)should end. Louisa felt that slavery was wrong. 6 she provided some help.
