Last Friday, what Spring Herbison Bowlin experienced in the supermarket left a deep impression on her. When Bowlin was1in the checkout line, she saw an old gentleman in front of her pulling his handfuls of change 2his pockets.
"This gentleman's things were scanned (扫描) and he needed to3his things." Bowlin said. "He looked back at me and said4to me. Then he started to take handfuls of change out of his pockets. He miscounted and started to get5." He looked back at Bowlin again and said, "I'm sorry."
"His hands and voice were6. This beautiful cashier took both of his hands and put all the change on the counter and gently said, 'This is not a7, honey. We will do this together.'" Bowlin recalled. The cashier finally finished his deal and the man went out.
Bowlin looked at the wonderful woman and said, "Thank you for your kindness. I'm moved by8you have done." "You don't have to9me, lady. What's wrong with our world is that some of us have just10how to love one another."
If everybody knows that, I think our world will be much better.
