Serving Our Community

    The Silver City Council realizes that citizens(市民)have certain needs. Tb meet these needs, we made the following improvements to our community facilities (设备)and services in 2018.

Transport

    3 stations were added to (he western suburbs (知区)train service.

    20 new buses for the southern suburbs were bought in January

    50 per cent of the bus shelters in the city have been upgraded(更新的).

    Buses to the eastern suburbs now run every 10 minutes.

Communication

    Broadband cable is now available in all parts of the city.

    New government buildings are "smart-wired" for better service.

Medical Facilities

    The new state-of the-art Nightingale Hospital was opened in June.

    10 foreign doctors now support the medical staff at Dover Hospital. 

Education

    Textbooks are free to all primary students from 2014.

    Rental for the premises of private schools has been reduced.

Security

    Extra police officers now patrol (巡逻)the tourism areas.

    50 new police officers have been on duty in die city area

Entertainment/ Recreation

    The Naismith Street basketball courts have been resurfaced.

    The new Central Community Building was opened in May.
