How healthy are your teeth? Are you lazy about brushing them? Now a new electric toothbrush (电动牙刷) can help you know how long and how well you brush.

The Kolibree toothbrush was shown at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. It shows how it is moved and that it can send the information to an Android phone or iPhone.

The toothbrush will be able to teach you to brush right (don't forget the insides of the teeth!) and make sure you're brushing long enough. "It's kind of like having a dentist watch you brushing," says Thomas Serval, the French inventor.

The toothbrush will also be able to talk to other APPs on your phone, so developers could, for example, make a game controlled (控制) by your toothbrush. You could get points for beating monsters (怪物) while brushing your teeth. "We try to make it smart but also fun," Serval says.

Why did Serval invent the toothbrush? He says this idea is from his experience as a father. Every day, he asked his kids if they brushed their teeth after he came home from work. They said "yes," but Serval always found their toothbrush heads dry. He decided he needed a brush that really told him how well his children brushed.

The company says the Kolibree will be on sale this summer, for $99 to $199. The U.S. is the first market.
