It is Sunday afternoon. Lucy wants to do some shopping with her mother. Her mother wants to buy some food for supper. Lucy wants to buy a new skirt and some school things. They go to a store.
"What can I do for you?" the salesman in the shop asks. "What do you have in your store?" Lucy asks him. "A lot of things," the sales person says. "You can buy food, drinks, clothes in our shop and school things, too."
Lucy and her mother go in. There are many people in the shop. Lucy finds a nice white skirt. "How much is the skirt?" Lucy asks the sales person.
"It's eighty yuan."
"That's too expensive (贵的). Can I have a cheap one?"
"What about the green one? It looks nice. And it's only thirty yuan. "
"Okay, thanks a lot. I think I'll take this one. "
"You're welcome."
After that, Lucy buys some school things, too. Her mother buys a lot of food, like bread, cakes, meat and fish. They get home very late.
