54-year-old Matt Eastley lost his ring when taking a vacation with his family on the Isle of Wight. He said the ring fell off his finger when a big wave(海浪) suddenly hit him.

Before leaving the island, Eastley asked the owner of a coffee shop nearby to be on the lookout for(留心) his lost ring.

The next day, 11-year-old Priya Sahu found the ring that was washed up on the beach. "I was looking for seashells and then I saw something shiny. I thought, ‘Ooh, what's this?' Then I called my mom over," Priya said.

Together with her mother, Priya tried to find out the ring's owner. "We thought someone must be sad about losing his ring, and Priya said it would be great if we could actually find its owner," Mrs. Sahu said. "To the owner, this ring must be very memorable."

Through friends and friends of friends, they contacted the coffee shop owner, who finally put them in touch with Eastley.

Priya and her mother gave back the ring to Eastley in person in a park in Southampton. Eastley described the return of his ring as a "glass slippers(水晶鞋) in Cinderalla" moment.

"I took the ring with me on that day when I got married(结婚) twenty years ago. Losing it made me so sad. Nothing can take its place in my world," he said. "It was lost but found. It's a really happy ending. "
