Lin Ya is a new teacher. She teaches Chinese at a country school in Gansu Province(省). Her school is very small and poor. There are only six classrooms and two hundred students in the school. But she loves her job very much, and she also loves all her students very much.

    Many of these students areleft-behindchildren. They don't live with their parents, because their parents have to work in cities. They can't see their parents for a long time.  They are usually lonely. Lin Ya talks and plays with them, and she also buys clothes and food for them. These children like her very much. They often say, "Miss Lin is just like our mother.”
