阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题

A newspaper reporter's job can be very interesting. He meets all kinds of people and lives quite a busy life. He is on the rush for news all the time, then after several years he may get a desk job, and life becomes a bit safer. Let's look at his work a little more closely. In a day he may have to interview the president(总统) of a foreign country, and the next day he may be writing about a football match. Sometimes he may be so busy that he hardly has any time to sleep. And at other times he may go on for days and look out for news materials(材料) and yet return empty-handedly.

In the beginning, a reporter has to know a very wide field(领域) . After the early years he becomes better at his work. For example, he may finally become so good that he only writes on special thing: horse racing. Some newspapers have book reviews(评论). Their job is to make people pleased. And reporters for these newspapers read the latest books and then write reviews on the ones they like.

A reporter's job can also be very dangerous. A number of them die when they rush from one task to another, and if there is a flood(洪水) or a riot(暴乱) they may get hurt or even killed. Dangerous or not, one thing is certain, and that is, their job is never boring!
