Every year, malaria (疟疾) takes. lots of lives in the world. A Chinese scientist named Tu Youyou found a plant in China. It is sweet wormwood. She tried to make extracts (提取物) from it to help people. She tried many times. It was really not easy, but she didn'tgive up. At last, she made it and helped lots of people in the world. In 2015, Tu won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (诺贝尔生理学或医学奖)．She was the first Chinese woman scientist to win this prize.
