Have you ever had anything unforgettable between you and your neighbors? Mr. Lee is our neighbor. He is a retired（退休的）doctor. He likes planting flowers and has the finest garden full of different kinds of flowers. People can see the beautiful flowers from the street. I used to think there wasn't a flower that he didn't grow.
Our neighbor lives near us, but we know him little. We just say hello to him as we walk past his house on the way to the city park. Weeks ago, I heard that he lost his wife because of a strange illness, I was sure he was lonely because I saw his sad look on his face. So I decided to help him smile. After school, I would usually go to his house and talk with him. He told me all about his flowers. On rainy days, I also went to his house.
I sang and danced, and he would clap（鼓掌）his hands and say "Great". For me, it was a perfect stage（阶段）. Looking back, he might think that this trouble was nearly ending.
I thought I could help him smile, but he also encouraged me a lot. Just as the saying goes, "Helping others is helping ourselves. "That's what I learn from this experience.
