During the Jin Dynasty（266-420）, a boy named Che Yin was smart and loved to read. Although he was born in a poor family, he studied very hard. He also wanted to study at night to improve himself. But his father couldn't afford lamp oil（灯油）to make him study at night. One night, when he had to go to bed early, some fireflies（萤火虫）were flying outside his house and they looked like many small lights. Che suddenly came up with an idea. He caught some fireflies and put them into a cloth bag and hung the bag up as his lamp. After that, he spent all of his summer nights reading like this.
In the same period, another child named Sun Kang also loved reading. One night in winter, Sun used up all of his lamp oil and he couldn't study at night. At midnight, it snowed heavily. When he woke up, he saw the snow reflecting（反射）the moonlight outside his house. He was very excited because he could use the reflected light to read! He took out his books and began to read without thinking twice, even though it was so cold on the snowy nights.
Both of the kids who worked hard later became successful government officials（官员）. People were touched by their hard-working spirit and their stories were spread forever.
