Taiwan is famous for its hundreds of night markets. It's fun for you to spend time walking through the night markets. It's common to find night markets in most cities and towns in Taiwan. They take place on the same streets every day. During the day, these streets are quiet. At night, there are crowds of people.

Usually people arrive at three or four in the afternoon. By 6:00 p. m. , the streets are full of people, including many tourists. Foodies(吃货) can taste different kinds of snacks here. The food is not only delicious but cheap. When you're just a little hungry, you can buy some snacks. When you are really hungry, you can sit down for a meal. Smelly tofu is popular, although it really smells terrible.

Besides the food, there are shops that sell all kinds of things such as clothes, toys, and books. Things sold at night markets are usually cheap. If you think the price is high, you can bargain with the seller. You may get a lower price.

There are also fun games at the night market. In one game, you throw plastic rings around the top of a bottle. In another game, you shot with a toy gun. If you do well in them, you can win a prize. They're such interesting games that even foreign tourists are fond of them.
