Mr. and Mrs. Smith come from Sydney (悉尼). They love Beijing very much. They teach English in a middle school there. They have two children, Sandy and Nick. They are both in China now. Mr. Smith can speak some Chinese. Now he works in Beijing with his wife.

Mr. Smith likes swimming and singing. His wife likes swimming and reading. They often go swimming in the afternoon. Sandy likes playing football and swimming. Nick likes swimming and playing basketball with his Chinese friends.

Nick's uncle, John Smith works in a hospital near Sydney. He likes swimming, too. He loves Beijing and likes to work in Beijing. But he can't speak Chinese at all. So he is still there and goes to Chinese classes every week.
