Our nearest neighbour is the moon. It goes round the earthabout every 27 days.
It reflects light from the sun. So weare able to see it. The moon is different from the earth. Onthe moon, there are craters(陨石坑) and mountains. Sonothing can live there. When the moon's gravitational force(引力) pulls on water on the earth, it makes tides(潮汐) —the rise and fall of sea level.
Did you know? The moon always keeps the same side pointingtowards us, so we can never see the back of the moon from the earth.
