If you want to write a strong essay, it is important to make sure you have three clear parts in your paper: the introduction, the body, and the conclusion.

. It's used to catch your readers' attention and tell them what the essay will be about. Start with information they will need to know in order to understand your topic. Your thesis statement (论点) tells the readers the point or main idea of your essay. Besides, many teachers suggest making your first sentence eye­catching.

Once you have written a good opening paragraph, it is time to write the body. You'll usually produce at least three supporting paragraphs. After you have written a supporting paragraph, read it and ask yourself: does it prove what I'm trying to say? Remember, if you want to write a strong essay, one paragraph will center on one idea.

Finally, a strong essay should end with a strong conclusion. When writing this paragraph, ask yourself the following question. This is your last chance to make an impression on your readers, so tell them one last time what you wanted to prove and how you proved it. Be sure not to simply restate your thesis statement.
