Li Bai was a great poet of the Tang Dynasty.

He liked traveling. He visited many mountains and rivers in our country and wrote some famous poems about the mountains and rivers. Li Bai loved his country and he expressed (表达) himself in his poems.

Xu Xiake was a greattraveler. He traveled to 21 provinces (省) and over 100 cities in China. He was the first person to find the highest peak (顶峰) of Huangshan Mountain.

Xu raveled mostly on foot He kept a diary while traveling. It is still popular today.

Marco Polo was the most famous foreigner (外国人) to visit Asia (亚洲). He wrote a book about his travels.

When Marco was very young, he traveled with his father together. It took them more than three years to travel to China. Later he became a friend of the Chinese emperor (皇帝). He learned to speak Chinese. They took nearly seventeen years to travel in the east.
