Ray was a naughty(淘气的) student. But he was smart and hard-working. And he never lost a race or a chess game. He always came first in school. He was so pleased with himself that he would always refuse to help others. 

"Ray, are you able to go to the market and buy some eggs?" asked his mother. Ray gave an excuse and refused, "Sorry, Mom. I would be busy with my homework. "

His mother ignored(不理睬) his request and said, "I'm sorry. I'm going out with Aunty Christme. "
