Are you ready to cook, clean or plant trees? From September 2022, students in primary and middle school have at least （至少） one labor class a week.
Labor classes can help students to be active, creative （有创造力的） and happy in life. Through such classes, students can learn some useful life skills （技能）. They can also be great helpers for their parents.
Some schools already had interesting labor classes. Kids from a school in Chongqing had class about catching loaches （泥鰍） in the river and learned about their habits. In Jiangxi, kids made tofu with a millstone （磨盘）. They tasted tofu made by themselves. Kids learned to cut vegetables and do other housework in labor classes in Qingdao.
Some kids also keep small animals at home, like chickens. They learn how baby chickens are born and look after them. Which kind of labor skill do you want to learn the most?
