What language would you like to learn as a second language? English? French? Maybe you can 1 learning the language of the world — Esperanto (世界语). It is the most popular invented language in the world. 

Esperanto was invented by Zamenhof in 1887. At that time the world was2  troubles. Young Zamenhof believed the language barriers ( 障 碍 ) were one of the3  that caused those troubles. He thought that if all people could4  the same language, they would communicate better. 5  he decided to make a new language for the  world. 

It is not easy to 6  a new language. First you need a lot of words to use. Zamenhof did not invent every word for the new language. He used words7  other languages, such as Latin and English. Then you need a group of grammar rules. Zamenhof thought the world language 8  be simple enough, so most of the grammar of Esperanto is very simple. That makes the language very9  to learn. 

Today there are about two million people speaking Esperanto. They all think that the10  makes everyone equal (平等的), because it does not belong to any group of people. It belongs to the world!
