Berat, from America, a mother of nine daughters, started to learn Chinese in 1980.
"It 1 time and energy to learn Chinese well. I think Chinese is 2 that my girls should learn from a very young age. It's also very 3 for them to study and live in a bilingual environment（双语环境）," Berat told Xinhua.
To make that 4 , Berat sent her girls to bilingual schools. She 5 let them take different kinds of classes, especially classes that can help them practise Chinese.
A very 6 thing is that Berat's two girls got good grades in their Chinese tests but failed（不及格）at their 7 tests at the first two months in the primary school.
"You have no 8 how happy I am for that. I'm so happy 9 it means that they are really working hard to learn Chinese," Berat said.
" 10 most people, I'm a tiger Mum," Berat smiled as she told Xinhua how hard she made her girls 11 Chinese. But for her 12 , she was a good Mum. "I really 13 my mum for what she did. Learning Chinese 14 me more chances to learn about the world," her 19-year-old daughter, Lindsay, told Xinhua. She is studying in the university now. "I will keep learning Chinese in the 15 ," Lindsay said.
