The movie's director Xie Junwei said, "Li Bai was not all good. . . but that is more real. " According to the movie, Li wanted to become an officer,____. Businessmen couldn't become officers at that time. So he tried to get to know the important people in Chang'an. But he did something wrong and had to leave Chang'an. Li's life was hard. His dream to be an officer never came true, but his poems stay with us.
