In August 30th, 2022, I left China and headed to the UK. It was actually my birthday, and I never imagined this 1 would be one of the best birthday gifts of my life. Before this trip, I was nervous and 2 at first. I'm afraid of speaking to others in English and I have to 3 myself. However, all these exchange experiences helped me 4 my living skills at last.
If someone asks me about the secret of having a fantastic exchange experience, I would say the willingness (意愿) to 5 is the key. I tried to talk with others and took part in school activities as many as I could. After that, I became much more 6 and brave to talk with strangers.
With my friends' help at the school, I could get used to school life quickly as well and it made the experience truly amazing. They cooked 7 food for me, taught me how to play volleyball, and took me to football games. My friends' family 8 asked me to a trip to the beach. They showed me how they lived as a family and taught me a lot about British culture. It was one of the most valuable 9 I had.
Life here wouldn't go well unless we tried really hard. I came from a different country, culture, and language 10 I build strong friendship with them. It is not possible if I don't treat them with all my heart!
