Life is full of surprise as long as you try your best in the face of challenges. I still remember my music teacher Ms Smith, and her words"Be a true winner in your own heart"encourage me to improve myself in many ways.
I used to be a shy boy and I was anxious about taking part in school activities. Once, to make the performance（表演）colourful, I was told to show Chinese kung fu. Though I have learned it since four years ago, I was still worried about it. After all, it was the first time for me to stand on the stage in front of so many teachers and students.
At that moment, I worried that others would laugh at me if I couldn't do it perfectly. As soon as I stepped on the stage, I found Ms Smith in the crowd, smiling and nodding to me. I became brave and careful. Before the performance, I took a deep breath to relax myself. When the music was played, I imagined I was the best. Then I moved every step smoothly. Hearing the cheers and applause（掌声）from the teachers and students, I knew I made it.
When I finished my show, I ran towards Ms Smith and gave her a big hug. It was Ms Smith that made me realize how strong and excellent I could be. The valuable experience did give me a great lesson. It encouraged me to keep challenging myself to be a better man.
