Every year, Chinese people make more than 400 million tons（吃） of garbage, which is as heavy as 40,000 Eiffel Towers.

About 70 to 80 percent of this garbage goes into landfills（垃圾填埋场）.

Within 4 or 5 years, there will be no space for landfills near Beijing and Shanghai.

If we start garbage-sorting programs in all of China's cities, we can reduce 60 percent of garbage.
