Italy, Robotic dog patrols (巡查) Pompeii

A robotic dog called Spot is patrolling the ancient city of Pompeii in Italy and helping to protect it. The volcano (火山) Vesuvius broke out in Pompeii in August of AD 79. Pompeii was covered by stones. The robot has a camera and takes photos when it patrols the ancient streets. 

Tanzania, First locally made electric car on show

An artist, Masoud Kipanya, has talked about the first electric car made in his home country of Tanzania. It took him 11 months to build it. It was made from local materials. Kipanya hopes people can drive it on Tanzania's roads soon. 

Japan, Robot trained to peel (剥皮) bananas

Scientists have trained a robot to peel a banana To train it, they showed how to peel a banana hundreds of times. They hoped robots could do well in peeling bananas with more training. 

Antarctica (南极) , Ship passes ice test

A ship has completed its first test in the Antarctic Ocean. The test included the ship forcing its way through thick ice. The head of the BAS said he was amazed to see the shop surrounded by snow and ice.
