Friends play an important part in our lives. Do you have any really close friends? I am sure you do. Everybody has a1 friend or two. Recently, I learned a lesson about the power(力量) of2 .
The story was about two friends, an American girl named Laura Mills and a Japanese girl called Satoe. Laura's parents were lucky to find new jobs in Japan and moved there to3 when she was a child. After Laura met Satoe at school, they quickly became good friends. Laura often4 Satoe from bullies(欺凌弱小者).
One year later, Laura's family moved back home. Laura and Satoe kept in5 by writing letters to each other.6 , after two years, Satoe's letters7 coming. Laura wondered why there were no more letters. Then she started to look for her old friend. Many years later, she found Satoe.8 girls were adults(成人) by then. In the end, Laura knew that Satoe didn't study at school anymore because she was bullied again. That happened after Laura9 . Luckily, they could find each other again, even after many years apart.
As we know, not every friendship can last forever. People usually come and go. But10 friends can find a way to stay together forever — even if they have been far apart for a long time.
