One morning， my Dad asked me to drive him to a faraway village and pick him up at 4 p.m. I parked our car at a nearby garage （修车厂）. With several hours in between， I to a 1 . However， when the movie finished， it was already six. I was 2  I late!

I guessed Dad would be really angry if he 3  that I was late because I watching a movie. So I 4  not to tell him the truth. When I picked him up， I said for being late， and told him that the car had some 5 . I'll never forget the look he me. "I'm disappointed （失望的） that you feel you have to lie to me， Jason." Dad looked a 6 . "When you didn't come， I called the garage to ask if there were any problems， told me that you hadn't been there." I felt ashamed as I told him the real 7 . After listened to me， Dad said， "I realize I've failed as a father. I'm going to walk home now think about where I've gone 8  all these years to make you lie to me."

"But Dad， it's 18 miles!" My apologies （道歉） were 9 ， Dad walked home that I drove while following him， begging him all the way， but he walked anyway. Seeing Dad so much pain was an unforgettable experience. 10 ， it also taught me an important lesson. Since that time， I have never lied to anyone.
