As a child, I had few friends among my peers. I just enjoyed music and singing. At the school for the 1 , I learned various musical instruments, and I am a good flute player.
It is commonly 2 that people who are not able to see will either work as masseurs (按摩师) or fortunetellers, and I became a masseur after 3 from high school. At first, I had few customers, so to 4 time I developed the habit of making tea. Later, I became too 5 to have a cup of tea and I sometimes worked until the early morning.
Despite earning good money, I didn't like the job because being confined in the salon (美容院) was very frustrating. It 6 a lot of time and energy and hurt my fingers. My family bought me a salon, but I didn't 7 it well because I was performing in a local art group at the same time. The salon closed in 2017, as did the art group. I felt lost at that time.
At the end of 2021, I left my hometown to join the current band in Fuzhou. When I sing together with my band players, I am full of 8 and feel like I am alive. Sometimes, people around me would 9 say that someone like me can only do massage, and my heart would sink after hearing that. Is there only one path for the blind?
I also hesitated about staying on the musical path, 10 later I decided that if I'm interested, I should just go ahead. If I can get work, it's great.
