China is a great country with 5,000 years of history. There are many places of interest which  /ə'trækt/ millions of tourists from all over the world every year. Some of them are fantastic lakes, beautiful mountains and long  (river).

Many mountains, such as Mount Tai, Mount Emei, Mount Hua are very famous. People go to Mount Tai to see the sun  /raɪz/. Among the rivers, the Yangtze River is the first longest and the  (two) longest one is the Yellow River. They are the birthplaces of Chinese  /'kʌltʃə/.

Have you heard  the love story about Xu Xian and White Snake? It's said that the story happened on the West Lake. The West Lake is the most fantastic place that I have ever visited. It lies in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is  (surround) on three sides by mountains. The scenery is so attractive that visitors often lose  (they) in it.

The West Lake has become famous for its special scenery as well  some beautiful poems. These poems were  by Bai Juyi and Su Dongpo. Besides, the surrounding area of the West Lake is the home of the famous Dragon Well Tea.
