The 9th Asian Winter Games organizers have shown the slogan, emblem and mascots(口号,徽章和吉祥物)in Harbin, where the event is set to take place in 2025.
The slogan——Dream of Winter, Love among Asia ——highlights (突出) the idea of joining Asian countries to ice and snow, and encouraging cultural exchanges be-tween Asian countries.
The emblem includes a speed skater and the lilac(丁香花), the city flower of Harbin. The speed skater stands for the sport spirit across Asia. The lilac stands for Harbin's city culture of warm-hearted-ness. And the emblem as a whole looks like the Chinese character "jiu", which means "nine", the 9th Asian Winter Games.
The organizers have also shown the cute tiger mascots Binbin and Nini. Their names mcan"Wel-come to Harbin", showing Harbin's warm welcome to friends from Asian countries. Binbin means the ice events as he shows off his winter sportswear and shares his joy of ice dancing, while Nini stands for the snow events, wearing traditional Chinese clothes. In the traditional Chinese culture, the tiger is a symbol of good luck and is given many good qualities, such as "strength" and "courage", which well match with the Olympic spirit. Binbin and Nini do a good job of showing the cuteness of the tiger, as well as Harbin's winter ice and snow and its cultures.
