Hair keeps our heads warm and safe. Do you know that everyone's hair is actually white. When we are young, our hair has pigment (黑色素) in it. There are only two pigments in our hair: dark and light. The pigment gives the hair its color. When we get older, the pigment stops-working. Our hair will be gray or white.

Also, lifestyle can make a difference to its color. Some people use hair products to change the color of their hair. This may be bad for their health.
We have more than 100, 000 hairs on our head. We lose about 50 to 100 hairs every day. But we don't have to be upset. New hairs will grow But some people's hairs don't grow back again. This often happens to men.
If we don't cut our hair in our lifetime, it will be about 20 meters long when we're 100 years old.
