All these paintings are by Li Kunwu, a famous cartoonist. He won an award in France for his comics. The local government chose 3 as a cultural ambassador (文化大使) for Dianchi Lake. Li planned to hold 4 art show there at first, but he decided to paint on the walls later. "I want more people 5 about our culture and history," he says, "and I hope 6 I can bring my comics about my hometown back here." 7 he had never painted on walls before, Li Kunwu did it perfectly. The wall paintings 8 the village and they also have made the village very popular with visitors. The villagers are very glad to show the paintings to visitors and tell stories about their village.
