Can your body work like batteries? Scientists have found a way to make power. They use nothing but movement of the human body.

According to a team of scientists from Georgia, America, anything from walking to a standing heartbeat can produce certain energy. Then it will be caught and used by the nanogenerators (纳米发电机). The nanogenerator at a meeting of the American Chemical Society, showed how a small chip (芯片) with millions of small wires could use the human heart to make power. The wires are 500 times thinner than a human's hair. The scientists used a nanogenerator to provide power for a light and a LCD screen.

Any kind of body movement can be used to produce power, and nanowires can also make electricity when wind blows, car runs and so on. It is not new, but scientists are trying to make it perfect.

Scientists believe it has a future. "While a few volts (伏特) may not seem like much, it has grown fast, "said the project's lead scientist, Zhong Lin Wang (Z. L. Wang). According to him, if more nanowires and more nanogenerators are put together, they can produce enough energy for powering largerelectronics, such as an ipod or a cell phone.
