    Wu Dajing won China's first gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang by breaking world record in men's 500m short track speed skating on Thursday.

    World No. 1 Wu proved his ability in the event by breaking world record twice. The young man kept the lead and won the gold medal with a time of 39.584 seconds.Itraised our spirits. His performance was so perfect that even the other athletes showed respect for him.

    Later, Wu and his teammates added another silver medal in the men's 5,000m team relay, bringing the Chinese delegation (代表团) its ninth overall medal in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

    Wu Daijng, who was born in Jiamusi in the north of China in 1994, started short track training at the age of 10. He used to train in Jiangsu and Jilin. He became the world champion in 2013. Since then, he has become the most competitive athlete in the world and the hope for China.
