One Monday, Simon met Mrs. Grisman while walking along the hallway.

"Could you look after Charlie for a few days? I'll visit my new grandbaby !" said Mrs. Grisman.

"Oh, yes!" Simon said. Running downstairs, she already couldn't wait for school to be over. That afternoon, Simone rushed to Mrs. Grisman's apartment. Just then, she saw Deion, another kid who had just moved into the apartment recently, bringing his dog Brutus in from his walk.

"Charlie, I' m here!" she called, opening the door. Simone often thought of fun games for him to play. Today Charlie came running and she knelt to pet it. Suddenly, Brutus entered through the open door, barking at the cat. Being scared, Charlie rushed out of the door and ran down the stairs.

    "Oh, no!" said Simon.

"I'm sorry!" said Deion. He quickly took hold of Brutus.

"It's Okay," Simon said, "I should have closed the door," she added," But I need to get him back. He's an indoor cat."

"I'll take Brutus home right now. Please call me if you need," Deion said, leaving with Brutus.

Simon ran outside to catch the cat. To her surprise, Charlie had climbed up a tree next to the building.

"Come down, Charlie!" Simon called. But Charlie was too high to reach. She looked up to find that the tree's upper branches were just next to Mrs' Grisman's window.

She hurried upstairs and knocked on Deion's door. He agreed to help her. She ran inside Mrs. Grisman's apartment again and opened the window by the tree.

"Hey, Charlie!" She called to the cat. It meowed but didn't move. Simone grabbed Charlie's favourite fish and leaned out of the window. At the same time, Deion and Brutus had just arrived under the tree.

Brutus barked and jumped with his big front paws on the tree. Simone held out a handful of Tuna Treats and called, "Charlie! Treat!"

The cat looked down at the dog and up at Simone. He moved up the tree, out onto the nearest branch. He jumped through the window, onto Simon's head. She held onto Charlie, waved at Deion below, and then slammed the window shut.

"Thanks for helping me meet the neighbors," she said, petting the cat.

阅读下列短文,根据短文内容完成下列表格,每个空格内最多三个单词。

Do you often use a cellphone? Do you take the subway to school every day? These things make our modern life easier. But do you know how we should behave properly while using them? The following suggestions might be helpful.

    For cellphone users

Keep your voice down when making a phone in public. Shouting on the phone may make others feel uncomfortable. And you'd better not use it during an appointment.

Stop sending messages or playing games with your cellphone at a dinner or a party. It's a good time to communicate with your family and friends.

Don't make or answer a call while driving. It's not only very dangerous for both you and your passengers but also against the law.

    For subway passengers

You are supposed to wait in line while buying tickets and getting on the subway.

You are not allowed to eat, drink or smoke on the subway train. The smell and noise may trouble others. It's our duty to keep the train clean and tidy. Besides, smoking is bad for health.

You can't take pets on the train. As we know, pets may spread disease and get the train dirty.

You'd better not lie across the subway seats even if the train isn't crowded. Offering your seat to someone who needs it is regarded as good manners.
