Museums are active centers of learning. In a science museum, people can learn about nature and technology as well as physics and chemistry. Visiting museums is a good choice to spend a holiday for people of all ages. But there're some rules when visiting museums. Take an art museum, for example.

Keep quiet. You can talk, but keep the voice down and be polite to those around you. You should tum off your phone or put it on silent. Sounds from your phone may disturb (打扰) others. If a call must be made, you should go outside to make it.

Ask before taking photos. Some museums welcome visitors to photograph or videotape works of art. However, please be careful with the sign "no photography" which means taking photos is not allowed for that work or exhibition. If you take photos withoutpermission, you will be in trouble. Maybe you will be punished.

Do not touch works of art! Your touch may not seem like much, but even the slightest (最轻的) touch can damage the surface of a painting dinosaur stone, and even rust metal. Keep a safe distance between you and each work of art. This helps to avoid accidental touching.

Never bring food or drinks into the museum. It's no good eating or drinking there. The art in the museum will provide plenty of food for thought as well as a dinner for the eyes!

Running and pushing are not allowed in the museum. Proper museum behavior is necessary to avoid accidentally hitting or damaging works of art.

Remember:___▲___If you obey them, you will surely enjoy yourself in the museum.

The Lantern Festival (or Yuan Xiao Festival) is an important traditional Chinese festival, which is on the 15th of the first lunar (农历) month. It also marks the end of Spring Festival. This year, it falls on February 26th.

The Lantern Festival is a time for people to have fun. At night, people go to streets, watching lanterns, guessing lantern riddles and releasing (放) sky lanterns or river lights. And all the family members get together to enjoy the special food called Yuan Xiao.

Watching lanterns is the most popular things to do during the festival. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, fruits, vegetables and other things. Riddles are written on pieces of paper and posted on the lanterns. Rabbit lanterns with wheels are fun for children. Why? It might have something to do with a Chinese folk story about a jade rabbit (玉兔) that lives on the moon. People hold Lantern Festival on the first full moon of the year, so rabbits are a big part of the festival as well.

In some places, people like releasing sky lanterns (Kongming lanterns). A sky lantern is a small hot air balloon made of paper, with a small fire at the bottom. When the bright lanterns fly high in the sky, people make wishes for their family members. Releasing river lights is also a way to give wishes to each other. Usually, the lights are in the shape of a lotus(莲花).

Another important tradition for the Lantern Festival is eating small round dumpling balls called Yuan .Xiao or Tang Yuan. The dumplings are as big as ping-pong balls. The fillings inside are sweet or salty, which differ from northern to southern China. Guizhou is famous for Yuan Xiao made with chicken. Today, you can also find some strange fillings, such as chocolate and fruit. Anyway,Yuan Xiaohas always been a symbol of happiness and unity in China.

Grandma looked out her bedroom window. No plants, just buildings and cars. "Time to go home," she said as she turned to Madison and Dad.

“But this is your home now," said Dad.

On Friday evening that week, Madison told Grandma about the gardens nearby. The next day, they took a bus there. Grandma stopped at some vines (藤).“They make me think of Queen of the Night," she breathed.

Grandma advised the manager of the gardens on how to take care of plants.

“We could really use your advice," he said, offering her a volunteer job. Grandma phoned her best friend that night. They talked about volunteering at the gardens for hours.

"Will she visit us sometimes?" asked Madison. Grandma shook her head sadly.

“I'll help you make some new friends here."

In the following few weeks, Madison invited her friends' families over and even took Grandma to a gardening club.

"Do you like your new friends?" Madison asked Grandma.

"I like all of my friends," Grandma replied, "Old and new."

Several weeks later, Dad said, "We'll go to Grandma's old house. The realtor(房产经纪人) wants to meet us." When they arrived, the realtor said, "We have a buyer with a list of requests."

While Dad and the realtor were talking, Grandma moved slowly from room to room. The door opened, and Grandma walked outside. Madison followed her. Dad and the realtor were studying a vine which covered a tall tree. "The vine will have to go," the realtor said, checking her list.

Grandma frowned, "Queen of the Night? My grandmother passed it down to me. One night a year, this cactus is covered with the most beautiful flowers. People come from miles to watch it."

Grandma shook her head and sighed, "I wanted us to own this treasure forever, but no room is in the city."

"Maybe there's room," Madison said, "At the gardens! But how to take this whole vine there?"

“We don't -we just need part of it," Grandma said as she broke a piece off.

The next day, after visiting the manager at the gardens, Madison helped Grandma plant Queen of the Night cutting in a special place.

"Time to plant new roots (根)." Grandma said as they headed home.
