Dear Teachers and classmates,

How time flies! We are graduating from the Junior High School. As a monitor, I'd like to write this letter to express my feelings before leaving school. Learning in this school is a very enjoyable and meaningful experience for me. As you know, I study much better than I used to. And I am not as shy as I used to be. In the past 4 years, l have understood the pleasure of efforts and overcoming difficulties, which will be beneficial to my life in the future.

Yours, Lucy

Dear Teachers and classmates,

Looking back to the past four years, what impressed me a lot is the help that my teachers and parents offered when I was in trouble, which supported me during the period. Moreover, I regretted that I didn't work harder. From time to time, facing the pressure, I argued with my parents, about which I felt sorry and regretful. To live up to my parents' expectation, I will make my effort to work harder in the senior high school. There is no doubt that there will be many problems waiting for me. However, no matter how difficult they are, I will spare no effort to overcome them.

Yours, Larry

Dear Teachers and classmates,

First of all, I'd like to congratulate all my classmates. I remember joining my class a year later than the others. It was your love and care that helped me get used to everything here rapidly. I remember taking part in our school sports meeting. Although I didn't win the boys'1500-meter race, my head teacher gave me a hug and said to me, "As long as you have courage and dare to try your best, you are a hero in my heart. You are the best. "Yes, I tried my best, so l didn't regret. Till now, whenever l have problems in studying, your words always encourage me to go forward. As we set out on our new journey, we will never forget where we came from. Thank you, my dear teachers and classmates.

Yours, Tom

Once there was a jeweler (珠宝商), who was known as a good man. People always bought jewelries from him. One day, a rich man and his wife came to buy some diamonds (钻石)which would be put on as special dress for their mother. She would wear it for her eightieth birthday party.

The couple told the jeweler what they wanted, and offered him an honest price. He replied that he could not let them see the jewels at that moment, and asked them to come back later. However, they wanted the diamonds at once. They also thought that the jeweler might be trying to get more money for the diamonds. So they offered him double, then three times what the diamonds were worth. But he still refused to give them the diamonds. They went away in anger. Some hours later, the jeweler went to them and gave them the diamonds in person. They offered him the last price for the diamonds. But the jeweler said, "I will only accept the first price that you offered this morning.

"Why, then, did you not sell us the diamonds right away?" they asked in surprise. He replied, "my father had the key to the box where the diamonds were kept. He was asleep, and l didn't want to wake him up. He is old and every hour of sleep does him good. In my view, all the gold in the world isn't as valuable as my father's health, and I never make him uncomfortable. "The couple were deeply moved by the man's words, so the husband said to him, "You are so kind! Thanks for the lesson you taught us -honor your father and your mother. One day your own children will give you the same respect and love that you have shown

As is known to all, without the earth's gravity (引力),nothing will come down to the earth and everything and everyone will fly in the sky. That is why many astronauts landing on the moon must work out the problems because of the low gravity.

Thanks to the international space station, we know quite a lot about the influences of low gravity on the human body, but NASA scientists want to learn more. So, they have been studying how other living things deal with low gravity, mainly focusing on mice. The results are both interesting and humorous. The scientists first sent some mice that were in the special cage to the international space station. The cage allowed them to study the behavior of the mice far away from the earth by video.

As you will notice in the video, the mice seem uncomfortable at the beginning of the experiment. They move around clumsily(笨拙地),driftin the small cage and do their best to figure out which side was up, but without success. However, it's not long before the mice seem to stop fighting. They became used to their new environment very well, and even put the lack (缺失)of gravity to good use and they push themselves around the cage. Soon they can move everywhere freely. The 11th day of the experiment shows the mice are not just dealing with the gravity change, but actually seem to be enjoying it. Several of the mice are seen running around the cage walls. The scientists wanted to see whether the mice would continue doing the same kinds of activities they were seen doing on earth.

The study showed that the mice kept as normal activities as they did on the earth, including cleaning themselves and eating when hungry.
