Most singers, often in their 20s or 30s, become famous for a few hit songs. But Angela Alvarez, from Cuba, didn't record her first album (专辑) till she was in her early 90s. The more amazing thing was that she won the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist at the age of 95.
Angela fell in love with music when she was a child. After leaving school, she told her father she wanted to be a singer. However, her father didn't agree with her. She listened to her father, and later she got married and had four children.
Life wasn't easy for Angela, but music was always there to bring her comfort. With time, her kids had kids and one of her grandchildren Carlos Jose Alvarez, has become a music producer. When he found out that his grandmother had written more than 50 songs, he wanted to do something for her. He asked her to record her songs in a studio. Angela accepted gladly at once. So after setting aside her dream for many years, she finally released (发行) her first album in 2021.
Angela's story even caught the attention of actor Andy. He offered to become the producer of Miss Angela, a programme about Angela's life, her love of music and the recording process of her 15-song album.
Angela's dream even reached new heights as she won a Latin Grammy. When she accepted the award (奖项), she gave an inspiring speech: "I want to give this award to those who haven't achieved their dreams. Although life is difficult, there is always a way out, and you can make it l promise you, it's never too late.
