We have learned English for several years, so we can read English books and magazines without the teachers' help. We feel good when we finish 1 an English story or a whole book 2 ourselves. But3 can we be a better reader?

Study or travel to an English-speaking country. Of course the best way to improve your English is to live in English environments. You will find yourself surrounded with the language everywhere. It can be a more difficult and expensive choice, but you may find it to be a very valuable and helpful experience.

Good notes can lead to less stress(压力) when test time comes around. Then how can you your note-taking skills? The following advice can help you.

Firstly, try to get yourself ready  class begins. Be familiar(熟悉的) with the knowledge that you are going to learn. Make sure you have your notebooks and pens on the desk.

Secondly, take notes wisely while listening in class. Many students become  taking notes and they may fail to follow the teacher. So it is important  when to take notes. And remember  down the key words and use shorthand(速记法) if necessary.

Thirdly, check your notes after class. You can add some details(细节) yourself . If there is still something missing, compare your notes with others. Do it with those who take notes carefully. These checks will also increase your chances of  what you've written.
