Roberto Clemente was a great baseball player. In fact, he was a star. He could jump to catch a ball. He could run fast. And he could hit a ball hard.
Roberto Clemente loved children. He wanted to build a park for the children of
Puerto Rico.
In 1972, Roberto was killed in an airplane, but people did not forget him. They sent money for the park. In 1975, the park was opened. Roberto Clemente's dream had come true.
